Posting Scores to the Sim Golf Handicap Service

How to post scores to the Sim Golf Handicap Service manually, and how automatic posting can be configured instead.

Scores are posted to the Sim Golf Handicap Service from the Manager Site, similar to how scores are posted to GHIN, WHS, or GolfNet. In this article, we will discuss how to post scores manually, and how automatic posting can be configured instead.

Posting Scores

After a round is complete and scores are entered, follow these directions to post scores:

  1. Go to Rounds > Post Scores (as shown below).

  2. Select who you'd like to post scores for. Use the check box on the left to select the players, or click "Check All" to select all players. You can also filter players by custom field to select specific players.

  3. Select the score type (e.g., home, away, competition).

  4. Click "Post Scores".

Posting Status

If a player's score was successfully posted, a green icon will appear to the right of their name. If a player's score is not successfully posted, a red icon will appear. Hover over the red to see the reasoning.

Posting Results

To view the full posting results, go to Rounds > See Posting Results. The time of posting will be listed, as well as the summary of successful and failed posts (as shown below). To download the posting report into a PDF, click "Print Full Report".

Automatic Posting

You can also configure scores to post automatically to the Sim Golf Handicap Service, without a manual step, from the Event/League's Handicap Settings.

Manually Adding a Score

If a score needs to be added outside the normal posting flow above, you can add it directly from the player's Player Roster Profile. To add a score, follow these directions:

  1. Select "+ Add Score" above the Handicap History section.

  2. Date: Enter the round date.

  3. Course: Select from the Event/League's courses.

  4. Tee: Select a tee for the chosen course.

  5. Difficulty Index (Slope) and Scratch Score (Rating): These fill in automatically from the course and tee you selected, and can be adjusted manually if needed.

  6. Score: Enter the score to post.

  7. Holes: Select 18 or 9 (defaults to 18).

  8. Click "Save Scores" to post the score.
