Note: The Portal Redesign is currently in Beta. Features and behavior may change as development continues.
An event/league portal is a customizable website where your players can view information such as pairings, results, photos, and more. A portal is automatically assigned to every event or league.
As a portal grows to include more sections and pages, a horizontal row of dropdown menus can make it harder for Players to find what they need, especially on a phone. The Portal Redesign presents every page of the Event/League portal on a clean card layout with a navigation panel on the left side of the page, giving Players a clearer path through the portal on desktop, tablet, and phone (as shown below). Portal content, widget settings, and page URLs stay the same — only the layout, navigation, and color options change.

General Notes
Enabling the Portal/Webpages 2.0
Customer Managers can enable the redesigned Portals directly from the Customer Center. Once enabled, the redesign applies to every Event/League portal on the account. To enable the Redesigned Portal, follow these directions:
Within the Customer Center, navigate to Customer Settings > Beta Programs.
Locate the Websites 2.0 section and select "Enabled" (as shown below).
Click "Save" to apply the settings.
Notes:
The redesigned Portals cannot be enabled for individual Events/Leagues or individual pages.
Enabling the redesign does not change any portal content, settings, or data. Portal page URLs stay the same, so existing links and bookmarks continue to work.
To return to the current portal design, follow the same directions and select "Disabled."
Previewing Either Design (Beta Only)
To compare the two designs on a specific portal page, add one of the following to the end of the page URL address. The preview applies to that single page load only and does not change the account's Websites 2.0 setting:
?portal_remix=1 — Displays the page in the redesign, even if Websites 2.0 is disabled.
?portal_remix=0 — Displays the page in the current design, even if Websites 2.0 is enabled.
For example, a page address ending in /pages/1234567890 becomes /pages/1234567890?portal_remix=1 to preview the redesign.
Portal Settings
When the redesign is enabled, General Portal Settings is called Settings and is accessed from the bottom of the navigation panel. Most settings work the same way in both designs. The sections below cover the settings that are added or removed in the redesign. For complete details on all other settings, Click Here.
To access Settings, follow these directions:
Navigate to the Event/League portal.
Click "Settings" at the bottom of the navigation panel (as shown below).
Portal Setting Changes
Portal/Webpages 2.0 makes some minor changes to the following available section in Portal Settings:
Groupings: Settings are organized under the following group headings, making it easier to find a setting by category:
Access & Visibility
Appearance
Announcements
Integrations & Tracking
Support
Custom Code
Reorder sections in this website
Appearance: Navigation Color was added. Note: This option is covered in more detail below.
Background Color: Added as an alternative to a Background Image, to display a solid color behind the portal's pages.
Background Opacity: Removed as an available option.
Appearance: Navigation Colors
The Appearance group combines the portal's color controls into a single card. Within the Appearance group, a new color option is available for Navigation Color. The following colors are now able to be set:
Color Scheme: Select the color used for navigation accents and primary buttons throughout the portal. An existing Color Scheme selection carries over automatically.
Navigation Color: Select the color of the navigation panel and the dark portion of the event bar. If no color is selected, the portal displays a default slate grey.
Notes:
Changes to Color Scheme, Navigation Color, and Background Color display on the portal immediately, before saving, so the result can be reviewed in place.
Portal colors are saved per Event/League, so each portal can have its own colors.
If both a Background Image and a Background Color are saved, the portal displays the Background Image.
If a color value cannot be applied, the portal displays the default color for that setting.
Background Opacity is not available in the redesign. Any existing Background Opacity setting is kept and applies again if the redesign is disabled.
Portal Navigation
In the redesign, portal navigation displays in a navigation panel on the left side of the page. The navigation panel shows the club and Event/League name, the list of portal sections, and account controls (as shown below).
Sections and Pages
A section with one page opens that page directly.
A section with multiple pages expands to list them.Pages that require sign-in display a padlock icon. Pages hidden by a Manager display a crossed-out eye icon and "(Hidden Page)."
Sections that link to an external website remain listed in the navigation panel.
Creating a Section
To create a section, follow these directions:
Navigate to the Event/League portal.
Click "New Section" near the top of the navigation panel.
Enter the section name (as shown below).
Click "Save" to create the section.
Each section is automatically assigned an icon in the navigation panel. Default sections display a matching icon (e.g., a flag for Tee Sheets and a trophy for Results), and other sections are assigned an icon based on the section name.
Managing Sections and Pages
When a Manager is logged in, click the three-dot menu next to a section or page to manage it (as shown below).
Section Options
New Page: Adds a page to the section. Pages can also be added by clicking "New Page" at the bottom of an expanded section.
Edit Section: Edits the section's details, such as its name.
Share Section: Shares a link to the section.
Delete Section: Deletes the section. This option is not available for the Home section.
Page Options

Collapsing the Navigation Panel
Click the arrow button on the right edge of the navigation panel to collapse it to a strip of icons. While collapsed, hover over an icon to see its label (as shown below).
Clicking a section while the navigation panel is collapsed expands the panel and opens that section.
Sign In and Account Controls
"Sign In" displays at the top of the navigation panel, above the section list, for visitors who are not signed in.
Member tools are displayed in a profile card at the bottom of the navigation panel, showing the visitor's name. Managers also see their role listed (as shown below).
When the portal is offered in more than one language, the language menu displays at the bottom of the navigation panel and shows the current language.
Viewing the Member Portal and Returning to the Manager Site
The name tile at the bottom of the navigation panel gives Managers quick access to the Player view of the portal and to the Manager Site. To use these options, follow these directions:
Navigate to the Event/League portal.
Click the name tile at the bottom of the navigation panel.
Select one of the following:
View Member Portal: Displays the portal as Players see it. Hidden sections and pages are not listed, and editing controls do not display.
Return to Manager Site: Returns to the Event/League in the Manager Site.
Event Bar and Page Titles
Each page displays an event bar across the top, with the page content in a single card below it. The event bar displays one of two ways, based on the portal's banner settings:
No Banner: When the Event/League has no banner, or the portal is set not to use it, the event bar displays a solid color band based on the Navigation Color and Color Scheme. The page title displays inside the event bar.
Banner Displayed: When the Event/League has a banner and the portal is set to use it, the banner displays in the event bar, scaled to fit without cropping. The page title displays below the event bar, above the page card.
For details on managing banners, Click Here.
Announcements and weather delay notices display above the page title, and do not display when there is nothing to announce.
The "Register Now" button displays on splash pages under the same conditions in both designs (as shown below).
Portal Page Content
Widget content, order, and formatting are the same in both designs. The redesign changes how portal pages are framed:
The "Click on column heading to sort" hint is hidden in the roster, player statistics, and team standings widgets.
Tables and Leaderboards keep every column, row, and value. Wide tables scroll inside their card rather than stretching the page.
Season Points and league standings adjust their height to fit their content.
Collages resize with the page (e.g., when the navigation panel is collapsed). Saving a collage page also saves its height, so the collage is not cut off.
The Tee Sheet widget displays as cards with a round selector, player count, and search filter. Printed tee sheets are unchanged.
Multi-Widget Pages display each widget in its own tile. If a tile is shorter than its content, the content scrolls inside the tile. A portal with a single Multi-Widget Page still lists its section in the navigation panel.
Mobile and Tablet Display
On phones and tablets (screens 991 pixels wide and smaller), the portal displays as a single column and the navigation panel opens as a drawer from the menu button in the event bar. Close the drawer with its close button, by tapping outside the drawer, or by pressing the Escape key (as shown below).
General Notes
The redesign also displays when the portal is viewed in the Club App.
When a Manager previews the portal as a Player, hidden sections and pages are not listed and editing controls do not display.
Widgets that already display their own cards are not placed inside an additional card.
