(Note: This feature is only available for customers in the Italy region and must be enabled for your account by Golf Genius. Contact your Golf Genius Account Manager to get started.)
The FIG WHS Integration adds the Italian Golf Federation (FIG, Federazione Italiana Golf) as a supported WHS network for customers in the Italy region. With the FIG WHS Integration, customers will be able to:
Connect an event/league to a FIG competition
Import golfers registered in FIG onto the event/league roster
Post scores to FIG
Cancel a round in FIG
Look up and update Handicap Indexes using FIG

Enabling the FIG Integration
Once Golf Genius has enabled the Italy (WHS) region for your account, to connect your account to FIG, follow these directions:
In the Customer Center, go to Customer Settings > Default Settings > Handicap Settings.
Go to the Handicap Index Service section and set the dropdown to FIG WHS (as shown below).
Enter your FIG Credentials (as shown below):
Username: Enter the username provided to you by FIG.
Password: Enter the password provided to you by FIG. Once saved, this field will not display the value again and will read “Will not change if empty” on later edits.
API Key: Enter the API Key issued by FIG along with your club account.
Club Code: Enter the Club Code that identifies your club in FIG. This is used when refreshing your roster and listing competitions.
Click “Save” to apply the settings.
Connecting an Event/League to a FIG Competition
Every event/league for a FIG customer includes a FIG Integration section in the Event/League menu. This section shows the current connection status and the available actions for that status (as shown below):
Not Connected: Displays “Not connected.” You can click:
Create Competition to FIG
Pull National Competition from FIG
Pending Confirmation: Displays “Pending confirmation.” No actions are available until FIG confirms the competition.
Connected: Displays “Connected” along with the FIG competition ID. If the competition was created from Tournament Management, you can click:
Sync Competition to FIG
Creating a New Competition in FIG
To create a new competition in FIG from your event/league, follow these directions:
Go to Event/League > FIG Integration.
Click “Create Competition to FIG.” This sends the event/league’s name, date, number of rounds, and competition mode to FIG.
The section updates to “Pending confirmation” while FIG processes the request.
Once FIG confirms, the section updates to “Connected” and displays the FIG competition ID.
Note: The “Create Competition to FIG” link disables itself while the request is in progress, so it cannot be clicked twice.
Connect to an Existing Competition from FIG
To link your event/league to an existing FIG competition instead, follow these directions:
Go to Event/League > FIG Integration.
Click “Pull National Competition from FIG.” Tournament Management loads the federation’s calendar.
In the “Pull a National Competition from FIG” dialog, select the competition from the dropdown, shown as the competition name and date (as shown below).
Click “Save.” The event/league is linked immediately, and the section updates to “Connected.”
Notes:
A competition pulled from FIG belongs to the federation and cannot be sent back — “Sync Competition to FIG” will not appear for these competitions.
If you need to send updated event/league details to FIG after making changes (for example, after a rename or adding a round), click “Sync Competition to FIG” from the FIG Integration section. This is only available for competitions originally created from Tournament Management.
Importing the Event/League Roster from FIG
Once your event/league is connected to a FIG competition, you can add golfers registered with FIG to your event/league roster. To import the roster, follow these directions:
Go to Golfers > FIG Integration (as shown below).
Click “Import Roster from FIG.” Tournament Management begins a background import and opens the import status page.
Click Done to view the roster.
Notes:
Golfers are matched by their FIG member ID and fetched from the Master Roster. You can re-run the import at any time to pick up golfers who register with FIG after your first import.
“Import Roster from FIG” is disabled until the event/league is connected to a FIG competition.
Posting Scores to FIG
To post scores to FIG follow these directions:
Navigate to Round > Post Scores.
Select who you'd like to post scores for. Use the check box on the left to select the players or click "Check All" to select all players. You can also filter players by custom field to select specific players.
Click "Post Scores".
Because FIG confirms each result before hole-by-hole strokes are sent, posting happens in two steps for each golfer, shown as a status chip on the Post Scores screen:
White: FIG has accepted the result but has not confirmed it yet. The page continues checking until FIG responds.
Green: FIG confirmed the result, and Tournament Management has sent the hole-by-hole strokes. No further action is needed.
Red: FIG rejected the result, or the golfer could not be posted. The reason is shown on the chip — resolve it and post the golfer again.
Notes:
18-hole rounds and 9-hole rounds on either nine are both supported; only the holes actually played are sent to FIG.
If you post a golfer who was already posted, the existing FIG result is updated rather than duplicated.
The printable score posting report is available for FIG the same way it is for other networks.
Canceling a Round in FIG
If a round in a connected event/league will not be played or scored in the FIG competition, you can cancel it in FIG directly from Tournament Management. To cancel a round in FIG, follow these directions:
Go to Round > Round Settings.
In the FIG Integration section, click “Cancel Round in FIG.”
Confirm the cancellation when prompted.
Once canceled, the section displays “Canceled in FIG,” and the “Cancel Round in FIG” link is disabled (as shown below).
Note: Canceling a round in FIG only affects the round in FIG — the round remains active in Tournament Management and can still be scored there.
Manual Individual Lookup
You can manually look up individual golfer Handicap Indexes in the Master Roster Profile and Event/League Roster Profile by following these directions:
Go to the roster:
Master Roster: From the Customer Center, go to Master Roster > View Master Roster.
Event/League Roster: Within the event/league, go to Golfers > Event/League Roster.
Find and select the golfer whose Handicap Index you wish to look up.
Select the “H.I. Summary” tab.
Click “FIG Lookup.”
Enter the golfer’s FIG Number or Name and click “Search” (as shown below).
Click “Select” to import the golfer’s Handicap Index.
Click “Save” to apply the changes to the golfer’s profile.
Manual Bulk Handicap Index Lookup for Master Roster
To update Handicap Indexes for multiple golfers in the Master Roster at once, follow these directions:
From the Customer Center, go to Master Roster > Access FIG WHS to Update Handicap Indexes.
Select specific golfers or all golfers using the checkboxes.
Select the update method:
Current Handicap Index: Retrieve Handicap Indexes as of the current date.
Handicap Index on a specific date: Retrieve Handicap Indexes from a specific past date.
Click “Update” to apply the changes.
The Handicap Indexes for the selected golfers will then be updated (as shown below).
Note: The “Status” column indicates whether the golfer’s Handicap Index was successfully updated. The “H.I.” column displays the change in Handicap Index before and after the update.
Manual Bulk Handicap Index Lookup for Event/League Roster
To update Handicap Indexes for multiple golfers in an event/league roster at once, follow these directions:
Within your event/league, go to Event/League Menu > Event/League Profile > Handicap Settings.
Go to the Handicap Index Service section and verify FIG WHS is selected in the first dropdown (as shown below).
If desired, check the box to “Automatically update Handicap Indexes from the Master Roster into Event/League Roster.”
Click “Save” to apply the settings.
Go to Golfers > Access FIG WHS to Update Handicap Indexes.
Select specific golfers or all golfers using the checkboxes.
Select the update method:
Current Handicap Index: Retrieve Handicap Indexes as of the current date.
Handicap Index on a specific date: Retrieve Handicap Indexes from a specific past date.
If your event/league has multiple rounds, select the round you would like to update Handicap Indexes for. That round and all following rounds will be updated unless updates have been turned off for a specific round. For more details on turning off Handicap Index updates for a specific round, Click Here.
Click “Update” to apply the changes.
The Handicap Indexes for the selected golfers will then be updated for the event/league (as shown below).
Note: If you run a weekly league and meet the following parameters, you can use the automatic re-fill feature:
Created divisions/flights using Playing Handicap or Handicap Index.
Re-fill the divisions/flights after every Handicap Index update.
