Q: We have a waitlist. Can I create a waitlist priority order?
A: Yes. By default, Golf Genius orders the waitlist chronologically based on when a player or team registered (Entry #). However, you have full control over the priority order and can adjust the waitlist in the following ways:
Sorting: In the Manage Waitlist page (Golfers > Manage Waitlist), you can sort the list by any field—such as Entry #, Handicap Index, or Name—to view players in a specific order.
Shuffling: If you want to randomize or manually adjust the priority, you can use the "Shuffle" feature.
Manually Reorder: To change a player's position, simply click on the number in the Priority column and type in the new position number. The list will automatically reorder based on the numbers you enter.
Note: Any players added to the waitlist after priority has been applied will appear at the bottom of the list without a priority value.
When applying a priority order, the following locations will be impacted:
Waitlist Page on the Manager Site
Player order on the Player Portal Page
Player order on the List of Participants Portal Page
Player order if using Automatic Promotions from the wait list
If necessary, you can always revert to the original order by clicking "Clear Order."
